Claridges wedding with a Vintage Edge

Agata & Stefan wanted their day to be a little different with a vintage themed intimate wedding at CLARIDGES.

Agata is originally from Poland and Stefan is Bavarian, they met and fell in love in London and this played a part in the planning of the creative shoot as well as venue choices. As a surprise Agata had the flower Edelweiss flown in from Austria to be included in the buttonholes and bridal bouquet. Agata’s 1920’s inspired designer creation from Jenny Packham set off the vintage theme perfectly. They hired a 1960’s Route Master bus to transport the wedding guests from the ceremony venue at Chelsea Registry Office to have a few drinks on a boat on the Thames and then onto London Claridges hotel for the intimate reception. During the evening Sav The Deceptionist showed us a trick or two – and the biggest trick of all is that it turns out Sav lives down the road from us in Dorking and we know him from walking our dogs – coincidence, I think not! This was a very special and sincere wedding and we where fortunate to be invited to share a meal with the guests – a Gordon Ramsay 7 course meal no less! Lastly we all made our way down to The Embankment foot bridge overlooking the London Eye and the guest wrote out their wishes and sent off Wish Lanterns into the night. What a fantastic ending to a special wedding day.

Have to say how stunning the pictures are. You look beautiful in ‘Claire’ this was the dress I almost chose for my wedding in June as its so vintagy and delicate. I tried it several times and it has to be one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen.

    You have done it justice!

I ended up choosing a Charlotte Balbier dress which was also very lacy and vintagy.

Congratulations its been so nice seeing the dress worn again.
Best wishes to you both Zoe Marshall

I was looking for a Jenny Packham ‘Claire’ dress when I came across these beautiful pictures and was even more amazed when I recognised Alex in the photos. I taught him Art and DT at a Wimbledon prep school and He told me all about this wedding!

Alex, if your mum wants to sell her dress, let me know!

    Love Miss Clifton

Her ring is just stunning! Who designed it? I’m dying to know.
Her dress is also gorgeous, wow. I love the beading and the sheer sleeves.

Not sure about the ring, but the dress is Jenny Packham “Claire”

I found this featured wedding quite by accident whilst googling registry office weddings.
It was such a beautiful find. I have a wedding website for Brides Over 40 and this stands out as such a brilliant intimate wedding even though it was a while ago.
Thank you so much for sharing it.
