There are certain times in a man's life that he'll remember forever.  Moments that are etched into his memory and remain clear and focused.  You remember the sights, the sounds, the smells and even the taste of the best of these moments.  All your senses seem to become heightened.  Vision becomes clearer and your heart rate accelerates.  Sounds are heightened as you filter out the clutter.  Seeing your soon to be wife for the first time is one of these moments.

I'm often asked by a groom when the best time is to turn around and look at his bride.  The best time is from the moment she makes her appearance.  Drink it all in as she walks towards you.  Savour the moment you make eye contact and realise that this is the beginning of your life together.  Appreciate the commitment that you both will be making to each other.  Fall in love with the woman walking towards you all over again.

Some people want to savour the moment even more and opt for a first look.  Without anybody around it gives you an intimate moment to create your own life lasting memory.  An opportunity to have some alone time together before the ceremony to reassure each other that you're both just as excited and will be there to support each other through the entire process.  To look at each other with every part of your being and enjoy the sensory overload.  Take it in, enjoy it and forever remember it.
