Not known as a traditional Matric Dance Photographer but rather a Family Portrait Photographer, I was excited about meeting Dusayshia and her family.  They could not have been more lovely, even having my family over for dinner that Chanelle is still raving about.

Matric is the final year of a young adult’s high school career.  The light at the end of the tunnel is in range but obscured by some final hurdles in the way of exams, tasks and preparations thereof.  With all the added pressure there is one tradition that all matriculants look forward to;  Their Matric Dance.

Dusayshia is currently sitting her Matric at Northlands Girls High, and is inundated with work for her final school year. She did however find time to design her own beautiful dress for the dance.  We decided to meet before the dance at the Durban Botanic Gardens for an hour’s portrait session.  Dusayshia looked absolutely stunning in her gold and ivory themed dress as we made our way through the gardens.
