Life and Loss

“For what is it to die
but to stand naked in the wind
and to melt into the sun?

And what is to cease breathing,
but to free the breath from
its restless tides,
that it may rise and expand
and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river
of silence shall you indeed sing.

And when you have reached
the mountain top, then
you shall begin to climb.

And when the earth shall
claim your limbs,
then shall you
truly dance.”

Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet : On Death

A dedication to the three people we have lost in the space of a year and a half:
Craig’s Father – George Raymond Bruce
Chanelle’s Father – Dirk Segerius
Chanelle’s Step-Mother – Sandy Segerius

We have just returned from ten days in South Africa to say pay our respects to my father-in-law and to spend some cherished moments with friends and family.
Please bear with us as we catch up on things here.
