Jewish weddings are always full of so much emotion, passion, ceremony and love for family. This was the first Jewish Wedding that I would photograph in South Africa. Joanne & Jake where married at THE OYSTER BOX HOTEL in Umhlanga Rocks, Kwa-Zulu Natal. I want to thank Cape Town based wedding photographer Christine Meintjes of THE PRETTY BLOG who referred me for this wedding. Another huge shout out to my second shooter for the day – JACKI BRUNIQUEL, a Durban wedding photographer and artist who has been featured on Top Billing lifestyle TV Show. I am happy to be in an industry where people step up and help each other out and become friends along the way!

Joanne & Jake opted to do a FIRST LOOK. This is where the couple see one another prior to the ceremony. As Jewish wedding ceremonies tend to be later on in the day this is a fantastic opportunity to do creative couple portraits when there is still available light. The couple would see each other before the main ceremony during the Bedeken anyways.
