Last year I shot a Jewish wedding at NORTHBROOK PARK in Surrey. What I love about this venue is the ability to have an outdoor wedding ceremony with the Huppah positioned in the middle of the guests. The flowers and details where super gorgeous for this wedding. Thanks to Chris Mann who shot this wedding with me. Due to the the occupation of the groom we are unable to share any images of people, however the details and venue are too good not to show off!

Great Fosters {Part 2}

And now for Part 2 of Catherine & Richard’s winter wedding at Great Fosters in Surrey. I am just a tad bit jealous that they logged into our blog from the beach in order to comment on Part 1 earlier today. I also want to be basking in the sunshine on some far flung beach thank-you very much!

Great Fosters {Part 1}

Catherine & Richard arranged a winter wedding at Great Fosters in Surrey. It is a gorgeous venue not too far from where we live. The light is beautiful in the bridal prep room and we had a gorgeous sunny winters day. This was just before I flew off to South Africa and the couple are still on their honeymoon! I believe they where away for a total of six weeks of traveling. Just up our street I have to admit. These two are so cute together and their love is palpable. They also know how to relax and have a good time. Here is part 1 of their fun filled wedding day:

Behind the scenes – Marrakech

Here is a behind the scenes film of us shooting a wedding in Morocco. This was back in March 2011 and was done by Damian of ALDEBURGH FILMS . He does fantastic documentary wedding videos along with his wife who is a producer for the BBC. They where a fabulous team to work with and are based in the UK.

The video shows the set up of family groups (which is not something I show a lot of on the blog as I feel it is a given at any wedding). It does show that firstly, I like to set up the shot and then get the family to move in closer and have a laugh. These photographs document family members who are all together perhaps for the first time in many years. It also shows some of the creative shoot with the bride & groom around the villa.

Wedding Albums

This morning we had a new delivery of some client’s wedding albums. I can’t help but want to photograph them and feature them here, so Craig did just that. I feel that it is really the ultimate way of showing off a wedding and having a keepsake for the future. Below you can see the various sizes, how many double page spreads each couple went for and how many images that translates to including in the album.

Katharina & Richard chose The Andaz Hotel in London’s Liverpool Street for their wedding this summer. Katharina had a lot of family over from Germany and the couple’s lives are firmly in London, so this was truly the perfect modern hotel for them. The church ceremony was a short walk away and added a spiritual dimension to the day. I love the balloon release after the ceremony, they arrived just in time too!

Notley Abbey {Part 2}

And now for Part 2 of Lyndsey & James’s wedding at Notley Abbey. The tree lined drive reminds me of something you would find in the Cape winelands of South Africa. It is breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for some creative couple portraits. We jumped into our car and drove the couple to the entrance gate and had some time with just the two of them. Our couples often say to us that it is a nice experience to just get away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding for half an hour and have some alone time… with us there of course!
