Babington House

Continuing with my wedding venue features this week I wanted to share with you a few shots that I took at a wedding held at Babington House a couple of years back as a second shooter. The hotel and spa is set in 18 acres of Somerset country parkland. Babington House is a Grade II listed building and has been transformed into a luxury, 5 star modern venue inside. This is an all in one wedding solution with an old-world chapel within the grounds and ample accommodation in the main house and outbuildings for the entire wedding party.

Wentworth Golf Club

Wentworth Golf Club is a Surrey Wedding Venue where we will be shooting this coming summer. We also explored the nearby areas with lakes and cascades for possible creative shoot locations with the bride and groom. Wentworth Golf Club itself has some really beautiful gardens but it is an active and rather famous club where golfers will likely be busy. The ballrooms is fantastic and the walls are flanked by what feels like hundreds of oil paintings. At night the room is very moody and lit with candles and up-lights.

Great Fosters in Surrey

In September we will be covering a wedding at Great Fosters which is a beautiful Surrey Wedding Venue. The tithe barn was set up for a wedding later on that day and so I got a few shots of that too. It reminds me of a tudor building from Shakespeare’s time. Craig said to me as we ventured around the venue that it could be something straight out of Alice In Wonderland.

The Andaz Hotel

The Andaz Hotel in London Liverpool Street is a five star wedding venue that we have the pleasure of shooting at in an upcoming wedding this summer. Craig and I made a day of it and visited two London Wedding Venues earlier today as well as enjoying a delightful breakfast along The King’s Road. Eggs Florentine is now my new favourite breaky choice. Yum. During our wonder around the venue I couldn’t help but take a few images of the spaces available for creative wedding photography shoots inside the hotel. We where pretty much blown away by the opportunities and cannot wait to shoot the Wedding at The Andaz.

The Brompton Oratory

We will be shooting a Catholic Wedding at The Brompton Oratory in West London in the summer. It is a Chinese wedding and will be full of fabulous traditions. We met with the groom today and he told us all about the Chinese Tea Ceremony as well as “Obtaining The Bride” on the morning of the wedding where he will have to get past a layer of family and bridal party who will make him perform a series of tasks before being able to see his fair lady, sounds like fun! Unfortunately The Brompton Oratory does not allow photography inside other than for an actual wedding, so I had to photograph the dome from the outside. Not a cloud in the sky today up in London. Fabulous.

One Whitehall Place

I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding at One Whitehall Place recently and just had to take a few photographs for myself. It has to be up there as one of the most high end, grand wedding venues located in the heart of London. Particularly spectacular is the sweeping staircase at the end of the hall as you enter the venue. One Whitehall Place also has a beautiful veranda area where guests can enjoy canapes after the wedding ceremony. As I made my way over the Thames after the wedding, I looked back to be greeted with the Gothic facade of the wedding venue looking back at me. What a great view of the architecture from that stand point.
