Last week Craig and I headed up to London to attend a 3 day wedding photography workshop by ADAM ALEX who runs XSight UK.
Adam is a fantastic photographer known for his own merits and has now associated himself with a world renowed brand. XSight in Australia boasts names such as Nick Ghionis, the owner as well as Jerry Ghionis and Ryan Schembri to name a few famous faces who have shot for them.
Those in the wedding photography world will be familiar with these photographers who are at the top of their game both from an artistic wedding photography and business perspective.
I believe strongly in investing time in your business and eduction. I love training courses both online and in person. I am always keen to learn new photography techniques to improve my knowledge of directing people and seeing light. Another thing I love about this industry is the networking and sharing of ideas.

And yes there was classroom time too. I soaked in a lot of juicy information with regards to business, branding, marketing and pricing. I must say I am becoming a bit too excited these days when it comes to the business side of things, I am turning into a business nerd!
More video light work
Adam’s results from the video light / reflection shot. I could see his excitement in creating the shot on the right hand side especially. This is really what he is known for. Creating an artistic piece in a small room with little to work with to the untrained eye.

This shot was posed and directed by ADAM ALEX, it was my favourite shot that I took at the workshop mainly due to the choice of a bight red background and great expression evoked. I am also pleased with the catch lights in her eyes…
