8 pages in You & Your Wedding

It has been a long term goal of mine to shoot bridal fashion editorial. Since high end retouching days I have collected tear sheets of fashion and beauty images and leafed through them countless times. Although I loved to work my Photoshop magic on fashion photographer’s work, secretly I had the burning desire to be the one shooting rather than perfecting the file after the fact. I also have an affinity with beautiful things, still life and detail orientated shots.

I approached HELEN CARTER, a fabulous wedding planner that I met through Twitter, to put forward this idea that had been on the back burner of my mind for a few years now. I wanted to put together a styled bridal fashion editorial shoot. There would have to be professional models, hair & make-up as well as details and finishing touches to a high standard. HELEN CARTER took my ideas and ran with them, well, sprinted with them to the finishing line which happened to be located at GEORGE IN RYE, where the shoot came together with superb attention to detail.

The styled shoot has been featured in the September / October issue of You & Your Wedding magazine over 8 pages.

    As a recent bride, I subscribe to Y&YW. Despite the wedding being over, when the latest issue came through the post, I couldn’t help but take a peak.

    When I saw this feature, I instantly fell in love with it. I flicked back and forth through the pages and I was not surprised (but rather proud) when I finally reached the last page and saw that it was your work.

    Congratulations Chanelle – it is fantastic when you get to realise a dream, and I love that through your blog, we get to share in that with you. Hope you are super proud, because you deserve it.

    You know how excited I am about this Chanelle! Your photography was amazing, but more than that you let me have the freedom to style and design the shoot exactly as I wanted.

    None of it would have been possible without the amazing team of professionals we had on board, so big thanks to them, and great to have so much publicity for everyone involved.

    I had a great time on the day and loved working with you. Looking forward to doing it again soon!
