It’s the end of the massively busy wedding season for Craig & I and tomorrow we fly across the Atlantic to Miami, Florida for the first time. From there we will be hopping over to the Turks & Caicos islands which are just north of Cuba and part of the Caribbean. I am packing only the Contax 645 and a bunch of Fuji 400H film. Ok, we will take the little Panasonic Lumix point and shoot digital camera, but no 5D mark2 and no Nikon D700.

Why? Well…

Craig and I spent a night in Henley Upon Thames for the first time this summer. We where there for a Saturday wedding and decided to avoid the traffic on the morning of the wedding (highly recommended!) and get to see the lovely little town in Oxfordshire.

This is from our first batch of film that we sent to Richard Photo Lab in the States to be developed and scanned.

I am in love with the look of film…

Is it just me, or does it feel like you can almost jump into this shot!? I love the Contax 645 / film combo.

Leigh-ann contacted me through Facebook regarding her forthcoming new addition and the fine art newborn shoot was set up. I just love the new bear ears hat that I got from America. Too cute!

London Family Shoot

Karolina contacted me to shoot a family portrait session around London in our “London Love Affair” style. Alice is such a lovely little girl and was so well behaved for our two our photo shoot. The style is a very relaxed, editorial one – similar to a couple engagement session. I love the styling of his family – nicely done Karolina!

Kelvin & Michelle are good friends with Wendy & Greg, our Tala Game Reserve wedding couple. Again, love a good referral and it seems everybody is having babies this year! I spent this morning doing another newborn shoot in Surrey with the following super cute results.

Sacha & Steve are good friend’s with Jen & Dom our lovely Mauritius wedding couple who also live near Wimbledon in South London. There is nothing like a good referral and when they heard that I have been doing these sleepy newborn shoots they got in touch. This is the first of three newborn shoots that I am doing this week! Baby boom or what!?

Keata & Jason are our “famous” London Love Affair couple! I say famous because their wedding has to be the most published of all of our weddings to date. Images are still being used as editorial fullers to this day as well as it being featured in the UK and China Cosmopolitan Bride. It was so lovely to catch up with Keata today and see a lot of those very wedding images hanging as canvas prints around their home. Baby Seth was one of the most alert newborns I have ever worked with. We had to adapt the shoot as he was very much awake and definitely had his own agenda for the day. Seth is a gorgeous little boy and I can see that Keata is over the moon with him and so pleased to be a mommy. Congratulations to both you and Jason!
