Nathalieh

Movement. I just LOVE movement in my photographs. I think this stems from doing high end fashion retouching as often times those sorts of images have an element of movement in them. My collection of Vogue’s which I keep for tear sheets of my retouching work, help as a great reference for inspiration. I remember during a shoot last year with Kat from Rock n Roll Bride she turned to me and said “I have never moved around that much during a photo shoot!” Nathalieh reminded me a lot of America’s Next Top Model winner, Jaslene. I am a huge fan of that show!

I was very drawn to the styling for this one and especially the birdcage style hat with Vintage Dress. I actually spotted Nathalieh sitting around after getting ready and I thought… mmmm yes! I would love to shoot her. Luckily for me I ended up having her as my model in the first group of the day.

    It is so fascinating to see these shots, you did such a great job directing her! You’re right, movement often makes for some of the best shots. I LOVE the first series! Very cool.
