The wedding day usually begins for us with Chanelle covering the bridal preparations at the wedding venue, the hotel or at the bride’s house. We do request that the bridal party be ready and have their hair and make up complete at least 45 mins prior to departure and the bride should be in her wedding dress 30 mins prior to departure. The reason for this is to allow around half an hour for creative bridal portraits, images with the bride and her parents and shot of the bride with her bridesmaids. Please remember to factor in this time during the wedding planning. Also remember to inform the wedding coordinator or wedding planner of any time required for the wedding photography throughout your special day. Craig will cover the groom preparation and also requires the groom and groomsmen to be ready at least 30 mins prior to departure. He will use this time to get creative portraits of the groom with his parents and members of the bridal party.

Whether you are having a church wedding, civil ceremony or a civil partnership we always shoot with the utmost respect and try to cover as many angles as possible. Please check before hand with whoever will be conducting the wedding ceremony that photography is allowed. Most places do allow photography but do not allow the use of flash. Digital wedding photography is highly capable to handle low light conditions without the use of flash. Chanelle usually stands at the front of the ceremony and captures shots of the bride walking down the aisle, the father of the bride handing her over to the groom, the wedding vows, the exchanging of the rings and the signing of the register. Craig is usually located on the sides and back of the wedding ceremony venue. He will cover similar shots from a different angle as well as obtaining wide shots of the church or other wedding venue from the back. Both photographers will capture candid shots of the wedding guests throughout the ceremony.
If there is a receiving line then we will be there to document guests greeting the couple and congratulating the wedding couple on becoming husband and wife. For the confetti shot please check with the venue to ensure they allow throwing of confetti. Some places prefer specific kinds of confetti like biodegradable confetti, rose petals, real flower confetti or wedding bubbles. You may only be allowed to throw confetti in certain areas - like outside the gate! Guests will be asked to make two lines and the bride and groom will pass down the middle - this shot does take a bit of setting up. The couple usually goes from the church in their wedding transport that has varied from luxury wedding cars such as Limousines and Bentley wedding cars to a horse drawn carriage. Some couples do unique things like hire a London Routemaster bus to transport the wedding party to and from hotels and the church or reception venue. We love to see a vintage car used for wedding transport.
